A member of one of the earliest families in the district, Denver Baines, will speak on his project called “Nelanglo – an insight into the area now known as Belmount Forest” at a special Gundaroo & District Historical Society event at St Joseph’s Catholic Church Hall in Morning Street Gundaroo on Tuesday night 16 February at 7.00pm. Denver’s been gathering information on the Belmount Forest area and his family’s ties to it for many years and has a wealth of information, much of it gathered in interviews with people from the area, past and present.
