Peter Elliott travelled from his home on the Gold Coast to donate a copy of a document on his family history at Gundaroo to the Society. The Elliotts were among the earliest settlers in the area living on a property called “Fairfield” off Marked Tree Road, the remains of which are still standing. Many of the family’s early members are buried in the Gundaroo cemetery and their descendants are represented in families still living in the area.

Peter Elliott, a descendant of early settler in the Gundaroo district Richard Elliott, donates a copy of his family history to G&DHS President Peter Firth in the Society’s room at the Gundaroo Literary Institute.
